Access for the Physically Challenged
An access card system makes 10 East 53rd Street lobby accessible 24 hours a day. Tenants can gain access to the building by following these access procedures:
- Employees are required to carry photo ID access cards issued by SL Green Realty Corp. Photo ID badges must be utilized to gain access into the building via the lobby turnstiles. Anyone unable to present this badge will be treated as a visitor and must show a photo ID and obtain a temporary daily pass for access.
- Each tenant must designate an Authorized Tenant Representative who will act as the administrator of photo ID access cards for his or her organization. The authorized representative will be expected to collect ID access cards from terminated employees, and is responsible for contacting Building Management to request replacement badges, badges for new employees, or deactivation of former tenant employee badges.
- Lost or stolen badges must be reported to Building Management immediately at (212) 838-8558 or via email at 10e53@slgreen.com.
Visitors
- If you are expecting visitors you can enter their names into the Sharry Guest Book at https://10-east.sharryapp.com/web/. Once entered, the lobby security desk will receive the information and print a pass for the visitor.
- If you are expecting a contractor regarding work being performed in your space, you are required to submit a work permit to the building office via Building Engines. The work order must include a description of what the contractor will be doing. If he is going to be performing any work, a valid Certificate of Insurance and executed Indemnity Agreement must be submitted to the building office along with the work permit via Building Engines.
Access for the Physically Challenged
- SL Green properties have designated entrances, exits, and lavatories for the physically challenged. Contact your Building Management Office for details.
